The things I'm thinking of doing to make the Whitlow robe for my male partner:
- Selecting size in relation to chest measurement (i.e. chest = bust)
- I will lengthen the sleeves for him
- I think I will use patch pockets and make it so it's a regular rectangle rather than the angled top
- He is tall so I'll be lengthening the body of the robe
In terms of the broad back, I'd select the size based on his chest measurement and then take a few measurements of the pattern and compare it to his measurements. For example, upper back and bicep circumference.
