Tip: Quadruple threads to speed things up, apply wax to thread and set with a warm iron to avoid thread tangles and elevate the hand-sewing experience.

#BurwoodToolRollExtraResources
Neat and professional-looking topstitching makes a big difference in the final look of a garment–it highlights design features and style lines, really giving a #memade that 'wow'-effect. The Burwood Tool Roll jeans sampler project is the perfect opportunity to fine tune your topstitching skills. With a bit of practice you'll be able to apply these topstitching skills to an actual pair of jeans (hands up who's already excited for next month's project?!) Key points for beautiful topstitching: Needle: Use a topstitching needle instead of a jeans needle. The topstitching needle has a larger eye, which helps thicker thread move through...
Love the design but disappointed it doesn’t come in a paper patterns
Love the design but didn’t realize it was a downloadable pattern before I bought it. I much prefer paper patterns. I’m disappointed I’ve paid for a pattern I’ll never be able to use
Good instructions and funky process, great for scrapbusting
I made the sleeveless view with some extreme colourblocking (pieced together most of the larger panels). Instructions were clear and the process was interesting (do not assume the next step based on other patterns!). Turns out I don't love a trapeze top (too much volume in the sides for my taste) but I'm confident I'll be able to adjust next round. Would make a great tunic by just adding some length and not changing the width. Would recommend as something different or a great way to make use of any small pieces of fabric you love but don't want to quilt with.
I do not sew as much any more, but when I do, the first patterns I redo are In the fold patterns which I love. And most of all, I learn so much from the sewing techniques which are so so awesome.
