Darlow Bag Sewalong - Part 4: Prepare Strap Hardware + Sew Top Strap to Bag

A note from Emily: The straps were one of the areas that changed a little as we fine-tuned the design of this bag (we have a post coming that covers more about that soon). The bag I made was a way for me to triple check the instructions and photograph the steps that changed for the sew-along. You will see that I used cotton tape joined together as webbing. I just wanted to use what I had rather than buying more for this purpose. Some of these photos were taken by Alys (with actual webbing) and I'll add mine just where things changed.

Please note: a rectangular D-ring, like the one illustrated in the instructions will hold the strap more securely as it can sit flat, although a D shaped ring (like the one in the photograph) will still work if that's all you have.

Home stretch now, Foldies. All that's left to do is attach the lining and finish the strap. Eek! See you in the next and final part of the Darlow Bag sewalong.
