Neale jumpsuit + Fit Kit

The Neale jumpsuit is a relaxed-fitting jumpsuit with wide, three-quarter length legs.

When you purchase this pattern as a member of Curated by ITF, you will also gain access to the Neale jumpsuit Fit Kit. This will help you expand your knowledge when it comes to garment fitting. The Fit Kit is jam-packed with illustrated fitting tutorials and patternmaking techniques that will help you make a jumpsuit that fits you perfectly, as well as teach you countless new skills that you will be able to incorporate into other projects.

Garment Details

Neale features an invisible zip in the side seam and an opening in the shoulder seam with a button tab, so that it is easy to get on and off. It has bust darts and an all-in-one facing for the neckline and armholes, for a clean finish. It has hidden pockets in the side seams.

An optional belt is included in the pattern, that changes the silhouette of the jumpsuit.

Please note: This product can only be purchased by current Curated by ITF subscribers. If you would like to sign-up you can do so here.

Suggested Fabrics

The Neale jumpsuit is compatible with light to mid-weight woven fabrics such as: linen, linen blends, cotton, chambray, sateen, silk (crepe de chine or sandwashed), tencel or viscose (rayon). Keep in mind that the weight of the fabric will determine the amount of structure and drape in the finished garment.

Fabric requirements and finished garment measurements can be found here.

Notions - Both views

  • Coordinating thread
  • 35cm (14in) invisible zip
  • 2 x 1.2cm-1.5cm (½in - ⅝in) buttons
  • 0.2m (0.25yds) light to mid-weight fusible interfacing
Please note: interfacing is for the optional belt. The jumpsuit also requires a small amount of interfacing. Those pieces are very small and it is likely that you will be able to use scraps.

The pattern is available in 10 sizes (A - J, which equates to Australian sizes 6-24) and is nested, to make it easier for you to grade between sizes.

In the Folds patterns are drafted for a B cup bust. Please check the finished garment measurements chart in the pattern, before deciding whether or not you need to make an adjustment.

Patterns are drafted for height of 170cm (5'7") and include a ‘lengthen / shorten line’ so you can make adjustments to suit your height.

Fabric requirements and finished garment measurements can be found here.

      Pattern includes seam allowances.

      Mighty Networks community

By purchasing this issue you will gain access to the extra resources we shared in our online community group when we released the project. This means that you will be able to ask questions, share your makes and connect with other makers who are also on a mission to learn new skills and sew clothing in a slow and conscious way.

      Difficulty

The pattern is placed at a Level 3 on the In the Folds pattern skill scale, which means you should be confident using sewing patterns and can handle basic pattern alterations to achieve a good fit.

By working through this pattern, you will gain confidence in: achieving a great fit, sewing an invisible zip, sewing in-seam pockets and sewing an all-in-one facing.
