Hove tote
The Hove tote pattern came about as a result of a Curated by ITF member’s challenge to Emily to create a bag derived from one of her signature pattern designs. Inspired and invigorated by the idea, Emily began to play with the Hove jacket, and here we are!
Project details
A tote bag with a twist, the Hove tote pattern is all about bending the rules (and the fabric!) to achieve a result that’s a bit different to the norm. With a puzzle-like construction and seam finishes on the outside, it can be made all in one fabric or in contrasting colours to highlight the different sections and shapes.
Please note: This listing is for a digital pattern only.
Suggested Fabrics
The Hove tote is compatible with mid-weight woven fabrics such as: linen, linen blends, cotton canvas, cotton drill and denim. The pattern lends itself well to colour blocking. Fabric requirements can be found here.
Keep in mind that the weight of the fabric will determine the amount of structure and drape in the finished bag. Be careful if using a fabric that doesn't have a stable weave as it may be difficult to work with.
