I can't believe this is our first ITF pattern with a lapped zipper! It was exciting to develop a new technique for you all to enjoy. I thought I'd do a little tutorial for those of you who prefer photos to illustrations for new-to-you techniques.
I used different fabrics so it was clear what was the back and the front of the skirt. I hope it helps!
Due to the way the skirt is constructed, this tutorial only focuses on zip steps, so that's why a few steps are missed along the way. I sewed View B panels to simplify things, but the process is the same for View A, it just comes together in a slightly different order.
Please note: panel seam allowances should be finished. I just didn't as I was only sewing this sampler for photos and it won't be wearable.
