Garment Details
A modern take on casual pants, Attwood is a pattern that will delight from so many angles. Full of clever details, like wrap-around pockets and patchwork-esque panels, these pants are a joy to make. Flat-felled seams, top-stitching and a large hem allowance create a drool-worthy finish, while the cropped, straight leg and elasticated waist make for a comfy pair of pants that you’re not going to want to take off.
Dive into your stash and make a pair for every day of the week. Have some fun with horizontal and vertical stripes and a dash of pattern clash. We dare you to see where your imagination takes you!

Suggested Fabrics
The Attwood pants are compatible with mid-weight woven fabrics such as: linen, linen blends, cotton canvas, cotton drill and denim. The pattern lends itself well to colour blocking. Keep in mind that the weight of the fabric will determine the amount of structure and drape in the finished garment.
Fabric requirements and finished garment measurements can be found here.
Notions
-
Coordinating thread
-
5cm (2in) wide elastic (your waist measurement + 5cm (2in))
-
Optional: If your fabric is prone to stretching, you may choose to use interfacing tape to stabilise the front opening. Alternatively, tearaway vilene can be used.
The pattern is available in sizes A - J and G - P. Our size charts can be found here.
The Attwood pants are designed to be relaxed in fit. Select a size based on your hip measurement and then adjust the elastic length to accommodate your waist.
Due to the nature of elastic waist pants, there is considerable ease in the waist of the pants before inserting elastic, so keep this in mind when selecting your size. We have provided the waist measurements without elastic so you can ensure the pants will fit over your hips.
This pattern is drafted for a height of 170cm (5'7"). Use the LENGTHEN / SHORTEN
lines on the pattern to make alterations to the length.
Fabric requirements and finished garment measurements can be found here.
Pattern includes seam allowances.
